Great impact of iToBoS project in media in March

The iToBoS project organized an in-person meeting of the entire consortium in Girona in March to discuss the final results and achievements. The meeting also attracted the interest of numerous national media outlets, including radio, television, and newspapers.

They presented the project's objectives and challenges, as well as the benefits it can bring to society. They also took the opportunity to arrange interviews with some project representatives for the production of visual reports. Some of press and journals are La Mañana, MetaData.cat Digital, La Vanguardia, Diari de Girona or El Punt Avui.

Media highlights that iToBoS is a project by an international research group whose goal was to create a body scanning device that would comprehensively evaluate patients, obtaining high-resolution skin images automatically and contactlessly, thereby surpassing current, slower and more tedious procedures. The system incorporates artificial intelligence to integrate information from diverse sources, such as patient skin images, demographic and medical data, and genomic information obtained from saliva samples.

They also explain that the tool is based on the latest trends in AI to combine already available data obtained with existing technologies (dematoscopic images) with information acquired from iToBoS's innovative scanner. Unlike most AI systems, the one developed by iToBoS not only provides predictions but also explanations to help physicians make decisions.

Radio and television channels also presented iToBoS, including interviews with project representatives. Llagostera Radio, RTVE, COPE Radio and Radio-4 are some of the channels that feature us.
