iToBoS project at IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2022

Bordeaux, 16-19/10/2022.

iToBoS project was presented at the 29th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (IEEE ICIP), that took place in Bordeaux, France, in the period October 16-19, 2022.

The IEEE ICIP is the world’s largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on image and video processing and computer vision. This conference showcased world-class plenary speakers, tutorials, exhibits, special sessions, industry sessions, and women in engineering that creates an excellent forum to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. There are plenty of opportunities to network with the brightest minds in academia and industry from this field.

Leander Weber from Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (FHHI) presented our work on model canonization titled “Measurably stronger explanation reliability via model canonization”. In this work, we demonstrate the benefits of model canonization, i.e., model restructuring without changing the underlying function, to explainable AI (XAI). It is the work that quantitatively measures the impact of canonization using various XAI metrics.
