Jena, 25-26/09/2024.
The iToBoS project was presented at the W3+ from 25 - 26 of September 2024 in Jena, Germany.
The W3+ Fair is a high-tech trade show where leading companies and specialized niche leaders meet to present the latest solutions from the fields of photonics, optics, electronics and mechanics. The iToBoS project partner Optotune participated in the fair with a booth and showed off the lens module ELM-75.
The ELM-75 was developed by Optotune in the framework of iToBoS project. It is the world-wide first product that implements gravity compensation technology for fast focusing liquid tunable lenses. This new technology is the key to the optical performance of the iToBoS Intelligent Total Body scanner for detecting skin cancer with optical resolutions down to 20 micrometers.
Optotune expects that the gravity compensation from the iToBoS project will become one of the company's core technologies in the next years, enabling the use of our liquid lenses in environments and applications previously excluded. The real-world application of this technology in the EU Horizon 2020 iToBoS project is one of the proofs of its potential.
