iToBoS presented at the John von Neumann Computer Society

Budapest, 15/11/2023.

iToBoS was presented as an innovative project that merges medical and the information technologies at the John von Neumann Computer Society.

John von Neumann was born 120 years ago, thus a series of events commemorated his legacy. Neumann Társaság/John von Neumann Society and HUN-REN SZTAKI organized a conference highlighting one of his 1955 papers, Can We Survive Technology?

We see that humanity is an interdependent community and that inevitable development has risks. At the future-oriented conference, speakers shared their ideas on what science can do to help us tackle the challenges of the future. Cloud, quantum technology, IT, and green computing are among the IT solutions that can help make our future livable.

In his talk, Róbert Lovas showcased the benefits of cloud technologies and introduced HUN-REN Cloud to the audience. Among other examples, he presented the iToBoS project as a cybermedical use case of cloud computing-aided research.
