iToBoS was presented in the “XI Jornada de Prevenció i Tractamentde Càncer Cutani”, (XI Conference on Prevention and Treatment of Skin Cancer). The event was held in Catalan.
The event was organized by Acadèmia Catalana de Dermatologia in Barcelona, Spain, on June 16, 2022. It is an organisation founded in 1872, officially recognised legally, which constitutes a forum and meeting point for healthcare professionals from Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Valencia, and Andorra. It is an independent institution at the service of the country, and is not linked to any official body. The main aim of the Academy is to foment continuing education and study, and the cultivating of health science in every aspect: human, technical, social, and civic, in terms of healthcare, teaching, and research.
Dr. Josep Malvehy, member of Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica and scientific partner of iToBoS project, presented the challenges and oportunities of the artificial intelligence and the intelligent total body scanner by means of the lecture “Com diagnosticarem el cancer de pell al 2030?” (How will we diagnose skin cancer in 2030?).
