Athens, 29/09/2023.

iToBoS project was presented at the European Researchers' Night, co-organized by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Technical Chamber of Greece.

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) has organized for the tenth consecutive year the European Researcher's Night event for all the Universities and Research Centers of Attica on Friday, September 29 2023 from 5 PM to 10 PM at the historical Averof building. The event targets the general public, aiming to disseminate and raise awareness to the results of research projects taking place in the institution. Special attention is given on the involvement of young people and children. Important stakeholders and policymakers, among which the Dean of NTUA, the deputy Minister of Development and Investments, the Mayor of Athens and the director of the Technical Chamber of Greece, are involved in discussions in the context of the event.

iToBoS was presented in the event, raising public awareness in the Greek audience regarding the project’s goals, challenges and outcomes.

Researchers from the involved in iToBoS (Dr. Valsamis Ntouskos, Dionysios Christopoulos and Melkon Chatsikian) have discussed in person with the visitors, the students and the children visiting the booth, using slides highlighting main aspects of the project. Stamped leaflets of the project were distributed during the event.

Many visitors/attendees expressed great interest in the goal of the project. It has been a valuable experience to make accessible the project goals and outcomes to non-experts, in general, and particularly to families, young students and children. More than 150 people reached (general public, families, fellow researchers, students).
